Data is integral to the intelligence community’s operations. IC Chief Data Officer Lori Wade is working to shift from system-centric to data-centric operations to meet evolving national security needs.
At DoDIIS in Omaha, Wade spoke to GovCIO Media & Research about implementing a data-centric architecture with common data standards and services. She also discussed how the IC is using AI responsibly, including training AI models with trusted and properly labeled data, building guardrails and human oversight into models and scaling AI solutions.
