Mary Davie, a former executive at the General Services Administration and NASA, detailed her more than 30-year career in federal service.
Davie reflected on facilitating the business of government through procurement and acquisition, leading major purchasing platforms and shared services initiatives, and helping shape acquisition policy and strategy. At NASA, she supported mission operations through enterprise mission support and organizational transformation.
Now she advises organizations through her own consulting practice and mentors students at Virginia Tech. Davie discussed how she continues to support government missions and shared advice for federal employees considering a transition to the private sector.
