Preparing for CMMC Implementation

Michael H. Moore, Chief Information Officer of Carahsoft, has been a vital part of the organization for over 20 years. A Clemson University graduate with a degree in computer science, he began his career at the prestigious law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher before transitioning to IT consulting at DesignData. There, he served as a virtual Chief Technology Officer, assisting nonprofits, small businesses, and schools in the D.C. area. This blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership has positioned Moore as an integral figure in Carahsoft’s journey toward industry leadership.

As a Lead CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) and CMMC Provisional Instructor (PI), Derrich Phillips’ mission is to help organizations get CMMC certified fast without breaking the bank. With two decades in cybersecurity, spanning roles as a Cyber Network Defender in the U.S. Army and leadership positions at Lockheed Martin, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and Bank of America, Phillips has forged a unique approach. He understands the real-world challenges and apply that insight to simplify CMMC.

As the Founder and President of Aspire Cyber, Phillips ensures their clients receive step-by-step guidance that minimizes burden and maximizes security.

Phillips also established the CMMC Professionals Network (CPN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to delivering accessible, hands-on CMMC training to all, and host the CMMC Proof Podcast. Both initiatives are focused on providing actionable insights that make CMMC compliance more efficient and cost-effective.
