Voice Modernization is a Path to Greater Military Connectivity, Efficiency

David Reaves, Associate Director, Defense/National Security Sales, Verizon

Military voice and communications modernization can help improve base operations, expand access to real-time information and strengthen mission readiness. At TechNet Indo-Pacific in Honolulu, Verizon Associate Director David Reaves discussed how technologies such as voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and unified communications can support the War Department’s broader network modernization efforts.

Reaves also explored how existing infrastructure investments, industry partnerships and flexible acquisition approaches are supporting military services and combatant commands to modernize communications more efficiently. He explained how Verizon is working to deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, connect military communities and give warfighters and commanders better access to the information they need.
