Cyber association professional Tara Wisniewski spoke about skills-based hiring in cybersecurity and what government can do about it.

The White House has made government cybersecurity hiring a priority following a 2023 strategy that aims to address gaps in the federal workforce. Agencies and their partners have stressed the need to build some of the foundational cyber skills required in people vying for the evolving roles.

ISC2 is a professional association for cybersecurity professionals, with more than 650,000 members.
