How Holistic IT Strategies Drive Mission Outcomes
Erika Dinnie, Vice President, Federal Strategy and Planning, MetTel
After nearly 20 years at the General Services Administration, most recently as associate CIO for IT Infrastructure and Operations, Erika Dinnie left federal government for the private sector.
Dinnie said both sectors share a common goal: delivering meaningful outcomes for the people they serve. She discussed why a holistic approach that blends modernization, security, cost efficiency and emerging technologies is essential to unlocking long-term value. She also explained how industry partners can better support agencies by listening, anticipating needs and designing solutions that enhance mission impact.
For federal employees considering a move to industry, Dinnie emphasized the importance of understanding their strengths and building strong networks.
