Navy Embraces New Risk Posture to Speed Tech Delivery
Duncan McCaskill, VP of Data at Maximus
The Department of the Navy is rethinking its approach to risk, acquisition and software delivery as it confronts increasingly complex operational demands across the world. The edge remains one of the Navy’s toughest challenges, with unpredictable connectivity in operational environments.
Duncan McCaskill, VP of Data at Maximus explained how the Pentagon – and the services like DON – is updating its approach to technology. He said that the War Department is bringing forward a cultural and structural shift aimed at delivering capabilities faster — even if that means embracing a level of risk historically seen as unacceptable.
McCaskill also discussed why modernizing data infrastructure is central to accelerating secure software delivery across the Navy’s enclaves and network fabrics.
