DISA Appoints New Chief of Staff
Army Brig. Gen. Royce Resoso previously served as the deputy commanding general cyber for 335th Signal Command (Theater).
Army Brig. Gen. Royce Resoso took over Monday as the new Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) chief of staff. Resoso will help lead and direct DISA’s 20,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel supporting more 200,000 warfighters in 150 countries.
“My vision is for this team to be the best, most highly proficient Office of the Chief of Staff in the United States Department of Defense, staffed by diverse professionals who are masters of their skills, thus providing unparalleled support to the agency,” Resoso said in a statement. “We must strive for a work environment conducive to professional and personal growth, coupled with informed and involved families.”
Resoso has more than 30 years experience in active and reserve military service. Resoso previously served as the deputy commanding general for cyber, 335th Signal Command (Theater) from 2022 through May 2024.
Prior to this role, Resoso served at stations including United Nations Command Security Battalion-Joint Security Area (Light Infantry); Army Reserve Element, DISA; deputy chief of staff, G-6 for the 95th Training Division and the 91st Training Division; chief of staff of the 100th Training Division; and commander, 505th Tactical Theater Signal Brigade.
Additionally, he has over 25 years of experience in industry, holding executive leadership positions in the private sector providing IT, outsourcing and consulting services.
