Nominations Open for the 2026 Defense IT Summit Flywheel Awards

Fairfax, VA. – GovCIO Media & Research, a leading federal technology media company, opened the Flywheel Awards nominations for the 2026 Defense IT Summit.
The Flywheel Awards will be presented on February 26 in Arlington, Virginia, at the Defense IT Summit. The awards recognize the key accomplishments of federal employees in programs that transform and innovate federal technology. The entry deadline is Dec. 29, and finalists will be announced on Jan. 12, 2026.

The Defense IT Flywheel Award categories include:
- Rising Star
- Emerging Tech Innovator
- Cyber Defender

- Data Advocate
Nominees must be federal government employees whose achievements took place between December 2024 – present. The entry deadline is Dec. 29, 2025, and the finalists will be announced on Jan. 12, 2026.
